How do I know what to use for my skin...

There are a gazillion skin products on the market all claiming that each one will reduce/clear/prevent an issue by a certain percentage, and make ALL your black heads unclog themselves. And here is where a professional skincoach will break it down for you...because the dermis is what I sleep, breath, dream, and eat!!!

First understand that what works for the paid  air brushed celebrity spokesperson,  will not always work for you. Your skin posse should be based on two factors. One...your genetics counting for 70% and, Two...the biggest component is your environment. Think about...

1. What part of the globe do you reside...In New York City, I can encounter up to four climates in the span of two hours. There's my apartment which is sometimes cold and sometimes dry warmth. Then off to the train platform, onto the either hot or freezing train car. Outside for a few minutes and then onto work where I'm underground with no windows and a air system that comes on and off all day, depending on who's complaining. When the air goes off I'm stuck in a sweatbox that includes a waxpot, steamer, AND and towel warmer!!!

2. Where do you work...Considering that you spend about half your time at work...you will need to adjust your daytime routine according to your work space climate.

3. What are your daily activities...Are you happy hour fein; an outside runner. Do you come home late and feel to tired to complete your nightly skin rituals, or are you a new mommy  with limited time and needs a quick but effective regimen.

4. And most all what are your skin goals? What don't you like about your skin. Of course you'll need to be realistic,(we can't change our DNA) but be clear about what improvements you're seeking. And remember skin care is made to enhance/protect what already what naturally exists.

5. How old are you and how old is YOUR skin. Are you 25 with a past of excess sun exposure. Have you suffered any illnesses and take medication daily. Are you menopausal in your early forty's. Are you a teen with dry skin. All of these variables play a huge role in how you should choose a regimen...when it comes  to the appropriate skin routine; one size does not fit all. It's very possible your in the completely wrong category which is causing more of your skin issues.

The goal of your daily regimen is to treat the issues while maintaining balance. So.. the next time you're browsing, avoid getting consumed by those lil buzz words making promises that may not suit your skins need!! Cheers to your glow!!
